Overview

FarmYields is an agritech platform which aims to connect the local farmers of Philippines to the sellers and distributors. This platform had 3 modules. The 3 modules include: Buyer app, delivery executive mobile app and an app for the seller( Farmers).

what was needed

Revamping and establishing interconnection between the 3 modules for the entire platform. We were asked to make the functionality of the entire platform better in terms of interface and experience.

Challenge

The users of this app were not tech savvy so the challenge was to create something simple and also they had some user base already. So, it was important for us to know the voids and study them thoroughly and find out the shortcomings of the current platform and then plan ahead.

STRATEGY

We initially created the service blueprint of the platform in order to understand the whole functioning of end to end platform.

We then conducting remote interviews of the users who were using the current platform. It was then followed by doing a thematic analysis of the observations from the interviews.

By summarizing all this information, the Phionike design team was clarified that ‘notifications’ feature was missing from the entire platform and the user was not able to get the

OBSERVATION

With the help of interviews and thematic analysis we were able to find the usability pitfalls of the current platform. It helped us to create overall better experience for the users.

It helped the team to understand the work process of each user in ideating towards optimizing the interface to provide a better experience with the platform.

OUTCOME

With thorough research and ideation sessions the team then laid out the entire architecture of the platform. We also mapped the journey of how the customer, delivery executive and admin will interact with the respective system and how the pain-points can be resolved during this whole interactions. Overall, we planned on providing a seamless experience for the users.
